Talk by John Lanza

John's talk will analyze the two world wars—how they were started, mobilized, fought, supported, ended, and more. He will discuss the role of the U.S. in both wars, the process of changing from a peacetime economy to a wartime economy.

John has five grown children and eight grandchildren, and lives with his wife, Diana, in Caldwell, New Jersey. He graduated from Bates College and has an MBA from Baruch College. John worked in banking for almost forty years but has spent his retirement reading and writing about World Wars I and II. He was once a Red Sox prospect and later a Yankee bird dog scout, at which time his father, a diehard Red Sox fan, accused him of treason.
