Black History Month Lecture. The Civil Rights Movement began as soon as slaves had been freed in the United States and took well over a century to achieve its original goals. In the talk, we will consider those goals, changes over time, and the methods chosen by proponents and opponents over the course of the movement's history. We will consider some of the key individuals and events of the movement. Adults only. Registration required.
