Music Talk by Dr. Robert Butts

Bob will share his love for film music in this two part presentation.  Part 1 covers 1900-1940 and Part 2 will cover 1940-1975.  Bob will look at early films and the reality of film music for so-called "silent" films.  He will talk about composers such as Max Steiner, Eric Korngold, Franz Waxman, Alfred Newman as well as film musicals of the time - ending with Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind.  Adults only. Registration required.
